Everything in one place

Eleven categories of free online converter, one workflow

Every converter shares the same queue, the same settings panel and the same download flow. Learn it once and it works everywhere.

How it works

Four steps, and three of them are optional

  1. 1

    Add your files

Drag them in, browse for them, or paste from your clipboard. Drop several at once — the queue handles batches without breaking a sweat.

  2. 2

FileTools360 works out what they are

Files are identified by their contents rather than their name, so a mislabelled .png that is really a JPEG still converts correctly — and you are told about it.

  3. 3

    Pick a format and convert

Recommended formats appear first, with a one-line reason for each. Sensible defaults mean you can usually skip settings entirely.

  4. 4

Download individually or as a ZIP

Grab one file, or bundle the whole batch into a ZIP — which is also built in your browser, not on a server.

Privacy

Built for your files. Designed for privacy.

Most online converters upload your file to a server you know nothing about. FileTools360 takes the opposite approach: the conversion engine is shipped to you, so the file never has to travel.

Processed on your device

Every converter here runs in your browser through WebAssembly. Your file is read into memory, converted, and handed back — there is no upload step to opt out of.

Nothing to delete, because nothing is stored

There is no server-side copy of your file, no database row, and no retention window to trust us on. Close the tab and the data is gone with it.

Files are checked before they are opened

FileTools360 identifies files by their actual bytes, not their extension, and refuses archives that try to escape their folder or expand far beyond a safe ratio.

No account, no watermark, no upsell

Every converter works fully without signing in. Nothing is degraded to sell you an upgrade, and nothing is stamped on your output.

Why it feels different

The details you only notice on the tenth file

Anything can convert one image. These are the parts that hold up when you are converting a folder of them on a laptop with fourteen tabs open.

one ZIP at the end

Real batch conversion

Queue twenty files, convert them all, and download a ZIP. One bad file fails on its own without taking the rest with it — and you can retry just that one.

Loads only what it needs

The video engine is 32 MB. It is fetched the first time you convert a video and never before, so the homepage stays fast for everyone else.

Keeps working offline

Once the page has loaded you can disconnect entirely and conversions still run. It is the simplest proof that nothing is being sent anywhere.

  • On-device

Tells you before it starts

Limits are stated per conversion — images, video, PDFs — and checked up front, so a file that cannot fit in memory is refused immediately rather than halfway through.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Every converter on this site runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and standard browser APIs. Once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the internet and conversions still work — which is the simplest proof that nothing is being sent anywhere.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Every converter and tool works without signing in, with no watermark and no artificial limits on the output. An account does one thing: it keeps your starred tools with you across devices, and it holds a per-tool count for seven days so your own recent list is useful. Nothing is gated behind it, and nothing about the files you convert is stored in it.

How large a file can I convert?

Limits are set per conversion — 120 MB for images, 512 MB for video, 200 MB for PDFs. Because the work happens on your own device, the real limit is your available memory: a laptop handles far more than a phone. FileTools360 tells you before it starts rather than failing halfway through.

Does converting reduce quality?

It depends on the formats. Converting to a lossless format like PNG or FLAC preserves everything that is there. Converting to a lossy format like JPG or MP3 discards some data — the quality slider controls how much. Each converter states plainly which case it is, and warns you when a conversion cannot improve quality, such as MP3 to FLAC.

Can I convert several files at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like and press Convert All. Each file is handled independently, so a corrupted file fails on its own and you can retry it without redoing the batch. When you are done, everything downloads together as a ZIP.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The interface is built mobile-first, with a bottom-sheet format picker, large touch targets and a sticky convert button. You can pick files straight from your camera roll. Very large video conversions may exhaust a phone's memory — FileTools360 will say so rather than silently failing.

Why are some conversions listed as unavailable?

Because pretending would be worse. Legacy binary formats like .doc and .ppt need a server-side LibreOffice worker, which FileTools360 does not run, and DRM-protected e-books cannot be converted at all. Those conversions are listed with the specific reason and a suggested alternative rather than being quietly hidden or, worse, failing after you upload.
