HTML and ODT explained

HTML is the markup language of the web, describing document structure — headings, paragraphs, lists, links — which browsers then render.

ODT is the OpenDocument text format, an ISO standard that works much like DOCX — a ZIP of XML — but developed openly rather than by a single vendor.

Why convert HTML to ODT?
